Matt Johns

Managing Partner

Matt Johns is the founder and managing partner at Black Bridge Partners. With over 12 years of experience in finance and eight years of experience in industrial real estate, Matt has a wealth of knowledge and expertise. This deep understanding of financial markets provides him with valuable insight as it relates to the real estate market.

Prior to Black Bridge, Matt worked at Capita Financial Network, where he oversaw the management and portfolio construction of over $150 million in assets. At Goldman Sachs, he worked with Prime Brokerage services supporting hedge funds with their operations.

Matt earned a BS Finance from the University of Utah and an MBA from Westminster College. In addition he has obtained the CFP® designation.

His education and professional experiences have developed his strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Matt has a passion for finance and real estate and is committed to making an impact at Black Bridge.

Jonny Arbuckle

Jonny is a 20-year commercial real estate industry veteran and has entitled, developed, managed, leased, and repositioned more than 6 million square feet of retail, office, industrial, and residential properties across multiple states. Jonny has developed a true multi-faceted skill set ranging from analysis to acquisitions, from leasing to management. He has built a strong network of vendors, clients, and industry partners through his commercial real estate activity.

Jonny has a long track record of successfully navigating the complex challenges that face commercial real estate and has consistently found opportunities to position projects for success. He approaches each project with the eye of an owner and seeks to maximize value for all stakeholders involved. His projects have been nominated for several awards including “Development of the Year,” “Outstanding Retail Project,” from organizations like CCIM and NAIOP. His specific areas of expertise include strategic planning and entitlements, development, transaction management, financial structuring, and lease negotiation. Jonny specializes in applying his diverse experience and market knowledge to reposition properties for success. He believes everything starts with a vision, and that success is achieved through hard work, honest communication, and flexibility. Jonny understands how to align with a partner and leverage their abilities to maximize results.

Jonny is a participant and member of ICSC, NAIOP, ULI, CCIM, and the Utah Alliance. He has served as public relations and marketing chair and committee member for the Mountain States ICSC, as well as a volunteer for several service organizations. Jonny graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Management.
